Arkansas Claims Adjuster License Requirements

Do I Need An Arkansas Adjuster Pre-License Course?

All candidates for an adjuster license must either provide a signed affidavit demonstrating experience with a company as an adjuster, or provide a Pre-licensing Course completion certificate demonstrating that they have completed a 40-hour Property & Casualty pre-licensing course. Once a candidate is approved, applicants will be receive the Authorization to Test either by email or USPS mail. No candidate will be allowed to test without the Authorization to Test.

What Are The Arkansas Insurance Adjuster License Requirements?
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Maintain an office accessible to the public
  • Pass the AR state exam administered by PSI Testing Centers
  • Complete the Arkansas Insurance Adjuster License application and submit with $120 application fee
  • Resident adjusters are required to complete 24 hours of continuing education (CE) every two years in order to renew their license. The 24 hours must include at least 3 hours of Ethics.

Non-Resident Arkansas Insurance Adjuster License

Non-resident applicants for an AR Adjuster License must submit an application. Please visit the National Insurance Producer Registry for more information on Arkansas non-resident licensing.

NOTE: Arkansas grants reciprocity to adjusters holding a license from their home state. However, if your home state does not require a license, you must successfully pass the Arkansas state adjuster exam.
