Georgia Property And Casualty Pre-Licensing Requirements

Georgia is one of many states that has pre-licensing requirements for property and casualty insurance licenses. Specifically, you will need 40 hours of Georgia pre-licensing training before sitting for the Georgia P&C licensing exam.

Agent Broker Training Center can help you to fulfill this requirement with state-approved courses that, upon successfully finishing the course, will result in your receiving the certificate of completion you require to take the license exam. Once you receive your certificate, contact the state testing agency, Pearson VUE, and schedule the exam. Be prepared to pay a registration fee of $63.

Georgia Property And Casualty Licensing Examination Requirements

You will need to bring your certificate of completion, a government-issued photo I.D. and another I.D. with a signature to the testing center in order to be allowed to sit for the exam. Once the exam starts, you will have two hours to complete the multiple-choice test. The test features 80 scored and 20 pre-test questions on types of property policies, types of casualty policies and related material.

If you achieve a score of 70% correct or greater, you will be awarded a pass, and your score report will contain instructions on how to apply for your license at Sircon.com. Your application will require the application form, fingerprints, a citizenship affidavit, and a $115 fee.
