Coverage Requirements
Nevada requires most employers with one or more employees to carry Workers’ compensation insurance. There is no minimum employee threshold, so coverage is required as soon as a business hires its first worker. (dir.nv.gov)
Employers Required To Carry Coverage

Coverage generally applies to:
- Employers with 1 or more employees
- Full-time, part-time, seasonal, and temporary workers
- Most private employers and nonprofits
- Out-of-state employers with employees working in Nevada
- Most industries including construction, hospitality, retail, healthcare, and services
Common Exemptions
