Life And Health Pre-Licensing Requirements For Resident Insurance Agents
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Fulfill your 20 or 40 hour prelicensing education requirements and obtain your Certificate of Completion
  • Pass the KY state exam administered by KY Department of Insurance
  • Complete the Kentucky Insurance License application and submit with $40 application fee
  • 24 hours of Continuing Education is required every two years

Schedule your exam with the Kentucky Department of Insurance after setting up an eServices account. Be prepared to pay a $50 examination fee.
