New Jersey Property and Casualty Exam Requirements

PSI Exams manages insurance licensing examinations for New Jersey. Contact PSI Exams to register and schedule your exam time for a $45 fee. When you arrive at the testing center, you will need your certificate of completion and two forms of I.D. Both must be valid government-issued documents and at least one must have a picture.

After you complete the exam, you will be notified immediately whether you have passed or failed. Your score is automatically reported to the Department of Insurance and NIPR.

Before obtaining your license, you must submit to a fingerprinting and background check. Go to IdentoGO to schedule a fingerprinting appointment online for a $62.66 fee. You will need identification and a Universal Form to get fingerprinted. Once this stage is complete, you can finish the process and get your license by applying at NIPR.
