Licensing Info For How To Become An South Carolina Adjuster

Below is information on the licensing requirements for becoming an South Carolina Insurance Adjuster, its insurance department, and examination scheduling facilities.

Requirements For A South Carolina Adjuster License:
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Pass the South Carolina state exam administered by PSI Testing Centers
  • Complete the South Carolina Insurance Adjuster License application and submit with applicable fees
  • Submit fingerprints and undergo basic background check
  • No Continuing Education is required
Non-Resident South Carolina Insurance Adjuster License

Non-resident applicants for a SC Adjuster License must submit an application. Please visit the National Insurance Producer Registry for more information on South Carolina non-resident licensing.

NOTE: South Carolina will grant reciprocal licensing privileges to an applicant who holds an adjuster license by exam in their home state.
