Before you can apply to receive your property and casualty insurance license, you must complete the required exam. Persons interested in completing Wyoming's insurance exams can register through Pearson VUE. Once you create an account on the site, you can schedule your exam.
There are many locations throughout the state where you can take your exam. Currently, Wyoming has test centers in Casper, Riverton, Sheridan, Gillette, Rock Springs, Laramie, Torrington and Cheyenne. Directions and travel information can be found on the Pearson VUE website.
Once you have passed the exam, you must apply for the license within 12 months. The application and licensing fee for a property and casualty license is $100. As part of the process, applicants must submit fingerprints and a $39 fee for a criminal background check.
